Review of Grounding Grids Corrosion Diagnosis

Abstract—This article introduces several existing detection methods of grounding grid corrosion, such as the method based on electricity network, the method based on electromagnetic theory and the electrochemical-based method. Subsequently, this article provides analysis of these three methods, including analysis and comparison of their advantages and disadvantages. Finally it proposes a new method based on ultrasonic guided wave method and then explores its feasibility and ad-vantages.

Index Terms—Grounding grids corrosion diagnosis, electromagnetic theory, electromagnetic theory, electrochemical method, ultrasonic guided wave.
